Celina Turner is a graduate student at Rawls College of Business studying to obtain a master’s degree in Data Science. She currently works as a Graduate Assistant at Texas Tech University, assisting with the State Employee Charitable Campaign. She looks forward to impacting the data science industry with her passion for innovation and analytics. She enjoys being a part of a community devoted to empowering and inspiring women.
First Executive Vice President
Kelsey Olson grew up in Lubbock, TX and attended high school in Midland, TX. She has since returned to Lubbock and is currently a sophomore in the Rawls College of Business majoring in management. After she receives her bachelor’s degree, she plans to attend graduate school at Texas Tech University to get her MBA. Following in her parents’ footsteps, Kelsey plans to pursue a career in the sales industry. In her free time, Kelsey enjoys playing sand volleyball and hanging out with friends. She is also active in her local church and plans to go on multiple mission trips in the future.
VP of Operations
Isabel Torres is a senior at Rawls College of Business. She is majoring in Information Technology with a concentration in Telecommunications and Networking. She is a transfer student from South Plains College where she received an Associate’s degree in Science. Isabel is a first generation college graduate in her family. Isabel enjoys spending time with family and friends. She currently works part time as a business manager’s assistant at Catholic Charities Diocese of Lubbock. She enjoys working there and is learning a side of business in the non-profit sector that really interests her. Isabel has a few ideas in mind on what she wants to do after graduation. She’d like to gain employment with a cyber security firm while working on obtaining an MBA or graduate degree in STEM. Her dream is to one day work for the NSA or the CIA.
VP of Finance & Fundraising
Meg Meliet is entering her second year in the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. She is from New Orleans but has lived in Houston since Hurricane Katrina. Meg is a Finance major with a concentration in Real Estate. After graduating in Spring of 2020, she hopes to work for a commercial real estate development firm for two years, then enter into a professional MBA program. She is very much looking forward to serving as VP of Finance and Fundraising and cannot wait to see the organization continue to evolve and grow.
VP of Marketing
Jenna Butcher is a Junior in the Rawls College of Business and is pursuing degrees in Marketing and Management. Two years ago, she moved to Lubbock from Artesia, New Mexico. She loves people and passports. After graduating, she hopes to find a job that allows her to travel and experience a variety of different cultures and people. She joined Women in Business to surround herself with like-minded people and to promote women's empowerment in the workplace.
VP of Recruiting
Audrey Ohlhaber is a junior at the Rawls College of Business. She is majoring in Finance and is anticipating on graduating in May 2019. She was born in Illinois but grew up in Southlake, Texas. After graduation, Audrey plans on moving back to Illinois to hopefully start a career in Chicago. In her freetime, Audrey loves to hang out with her friends and family, read, and watch movies. She is very outgoing and will take any opportunity to network and meet new people. The reason she joined Women in Business was to meet other women and men who had similar professional aspirations and have the same passion about empowering women in the workplace.
VP of Community Service & Service Events
Amanda Gentile is a Senior Accounting major in the Rawls College of Business. She anticipates starting an internship with Grant Thornton, Spring 2019, where she will be concentrated in Audit. Upon graduation of Grad School, she plans on working for an accounting firm, specializing in Financial Services and Real Estate. She is from Rockwall, Texas, and enjoys baseball and texmex. She joined Women In Business to advance connections, gain perspective from working professionals, as well as contribute in a positive manner to the outstanding reputation of the Rawls College.
VP of Digital Engagement
Justin Bell is a sophomore at the Rawls College of Business. He is majoring in Finance and anticipates on graduating in May 2021. He was born in the small town of Dalhart, Texas and grew up surrounded by the agricultural and livestock communities. Justin enjoys the Texas music scene, photography, mountain biking, camping, and almost anything else that involves the outdoors. He is excited to be a part of the future of Women in Business and hopes his involvement in the organization will attract more people to join.
Feruzan Irani Williams is an Associate Professor of Practice in the Area of Management at the Rawls College of Business Administration, Texas Tech University, where she teaches and does research in the field of Human Resource Management. Her other areas of research interest include emotional labor and stress, leadership, and workplace aggression and counterproductive workplace behaviors, with a special emphasis on the struggles faced by women.
